Matthew 25:31-46
The Parable of the sheep and goats teaches us that when the Son of Man comes in glory, he will sit upon his throne and judge between us. The king will take his seat of authority. He will then separate us out according to how we have served him: for, truly, as we have served the least of Christ’s brethren, so have we served him.
Does this not teach us, among many things, that the king is present in his people, that in some mysterious manner, the subjects of his kingdom are his representatives in whom and through whom he is present, and by whom we serve or slight our King?
