If you were over someone’s house and he told you that he had a visitor…that at that very moment Jesus Christ was in his office, what would you think or feel?
Would you be interested in meeting him? Might you wish even for just a glimpse of his face?
In prayer, we meet intimately with God. He makes himself known to us in the inner room of our being. There we speak with him.
When you pray, your very soul comes into the conscious presence of God. Enter into the closet each day, that you might receive the reward of your Father (Mtt. 6:6).
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. —Revelations 3:20)
